Access to regular dental care is critical to overall patient health yet many patients forgo seeing a dentist due to the high expense for even the most basic of dental treatments. Patients may go months or even years without seeing a dentist and often end up in emergency rooms once the pain becomes unbearable. Prevention and education are essential to improve oral health in our communities.
In an effort to assist those who cannot afford dental care, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Ada Jenkins Center and their mobile dental unit.
The dental clinics will be offered on a quarterly basis and include basic services such as screenings, cleanings, fillings, extractions and oral health education. Services are provided to patients currently without dental insurance or Medicaid and are available by appointment only.
