Steve Smith Jr. grew up with limited access to adequate medical care. Even though he has risen to superstar status through a successful career as All-Pro veteran wide received for the Caroline Panthers and now the Baltimore Ravens, Steve focuses a lot of his attention off the field to his family and giving back to the Charlotte community where he lives. Through his family foundation and in partnership with Project 658, they are jointly launching this center. It’s a modest building, formerly the office of a small business that made dentures. The building has been renovated and brought to life, led by the primary organization behind it: the Steve Smith Family Foundation. Located on Central Avenue, the newly opened wellness center is adjacent to Project 658, a Christian-based organization and ministry that provides services for at-risk families in Charlotte. they have teamed up to launch the Smith Family Wellness Center. The Center is designed to provide access to basic medical care, dental care, counseling and an over the counter pharmacy. Now people who may not be able to afford such care may now receive care on a limited basis as the center expands its staff and offerings as needs arrive. The Steve Smith Family Foundation and Project 658 selected the Centerfold Agency lead the branding efforts, while Banyan Creative designed the website which will be used to request appointments and additional health resources.
